Are you in a rush to become a doctor? Do you want to have a good job fast? Medical school will take a decent amount of time. However, if are you efficient in finishing your pre med requirements, you can get to medical school faster. You will want to get really good grades in your pre med classes. Doctors should be competent and know the fundamental principles related to the practice of medicine.
However, if you are efficient, you maybe able to finish the necessary pre med requirements in less time. Perhaps you could finish them and graduate with a bachelors degree in three years. If you are able to take AP classes in high school, then you may be able to use some of those credits in college. If you are really young, you might even be able to get a GED and start college early. There are individuals in this country that are 20 years of age and already finished with their bachelors degree and 1 year away from a graduate degree. Amazing things are possible if you decide that you want them, and you will put in the honest effort to achieve them.
It may be prudent to get a bachelors degree in biology or microbiology while you finish your pre med requirements. Be sure to talk to counselors at your college or high school, and also possibly admissions advisers at medical schools. Work efficiently and take care of yourself.
If you want to get into medical school you will have to have good grades. The healthcare field is wonderful. If you don’t want to have to do so much school, as you might have to do in the process of becoming a doctor, then perhaps another area of healthcare might be for you. Maybe you would like to be a physical therapist, chiropractor, or acupuncturist. Keep your mind open. Finishing the pre med requirements may not be for everyone. There are many great areas of the healthcare field. May you would like to be a psychotherapist or who knows what else?
Just remember, if you want to finish the necessary pre med requirements faster than normal, it is probably possible. It might take hard work and dedication, but others have surely done it, it seems, and they have probably gotten good grades in the process.
